FSR In rehabilitation Nader Fallahian [1] Abstract FSR, the Force Sensing Resistor, is a Polymer Thick Film (PTF) Device, which shows a decrease in resistant when force is applied on its Active Surface. In Assistive Technology and corresponding fields of science (e.g. Biomechanics, Ergonomics), FRS has been used as the instrumentation research and develop studies. FSR is still the core of 3D Gait Analyzing Systems, the primary tool in every biomechanical laboratory. FSR has been used as Force Threshold Switch in advanced electronic prostheses such as Digital Boston Arm, Otto Bock Sensor Hand and Otto Bock Kinder Hand etc.. In Orthotics, FSR is used as an approach to monitor the wearing time and proper orthotic use. KeyWords: FSR, Force Sensing Resistor, Force Sensitive Resistor, Usage, Rehabilitation, Biomechanics, Ergonomics, Prosthetics, Orthotics.
